You are the leader of the Communications & Design team at AMM, reporting to the CEO and forming part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). The Head of Communications is responsible for the Alex Makes Meals brand and the management of our external and internal communications, including our social media accounts and website.

Your duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage the creation and execution of well-thought-out communications and media strategies across a range of traditional & digital media;

  • Oversee the activities of a team of communication and design specialists to create required content and resources in a timely manner;

  • Manage an ongoing communications calendar that delivers regular, high quality pieces on our external and internal channels;

  • Ensure communications channels are used effectively and consistently to advance the purpose of Alex Makes Meals;

  • Oversee the creation and management of Alex Makes Meals branding;

  • Create and manage policy and processes to engage with and maintain excellent donor relationships; and,

  • Manage the strategy and coordination of marketing and fundraising campaigns and events.

Your Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience leading small teams effectively;

  • Experience with multiple social media platforms and the tools and opportunities available;

  • Excellent written communication skills for use in both internal and external pieces;

  • Knowledge of charity organisations would be an advantage;

  • Flair for marketing and design, such that our brand is enhanced within the external marketplace;

  • Experience as part of a management team (2-3 years minimum); and,

  • Familiarity with Google Workspace tools would be desirable.
