Men's group volunteer, residential aged care home in Hammondville

Volunteering at HammondCare Hammondville is a great experience for you, and a great way to make a difference for people who are living with dementia.

As you visit and spend time with elderly male residents, you'll help with activities to build friendship amongst the group.

Some common activities include

  • Help residents cook the BBQ
  • Have a chat to the fellas
  • Go out on special outings
  • Reminisce about residents work days
  • Tell a few jokes
  • Assist Staff and help residents

Broad interests in all things related to cars, motorbikes, sport, woodworking, finance, Music, playing an instrument, travel, gardening, collectibles, drawing, painting and traditional board games.

Timing One hour per week for 12 months or longer (Monday to Friday). We would be happy to discuss a time with you.

Successful applicants will be required to complete a national police check which HammondCare will organise and pay for. You'll need to provide proof of your Covid19 vaccination (3 doses) and be willing to meet our influenza vaccination requirements.

We’ll provide training as well as ongoing support.
