Main duties of the Treasurer: • Receive invoices, pay accounts and record transactions • Bank money received and record transactions • Raise purchase orders • Issue and file invoices and receipts • Prepare Income & Expenses Reports and Transaction Lists: o Quarterly for the Ordinary Meeting o Annually for the Annual General Meeting • Seek approval for unbudgeted expenditure • Keep an overview of the finances of the organisation • Ensure and review appropriate financial policies and procedures are in place • Conduct bank reconciliations with each statement to ensure all transactions are entered • Receive quarterly bank statement and correlate with Transaction List • Prepare accounts for auditing o Submit audited accounts to Executive Committee for approval; and retain copies for AGM reporting; and annual reporting to Office of Fair Trading (Qld), Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) and Register of Environmental Organisations (REO)
