Volunteer to dance with elderly residents, Wahroonga

HammondCare Australia
Logo for HammondCare Australia

If you are someone who values the importance of regular exercise, would you consider sharing your skills with people living with dementia who are frail and elderly? If you’ve ever done Zumba or love to dance in the shower, would you consider sharing that sense of fun with our residents? All you need is a sense of fun, ability to create a music playlist and sensitivity to people with limited mobility.

Ideally you’ll be available for 1 hour/week for 12 months or longer. Our residents love many kinds of music and just need someone to get them wiggling.

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity, specialising in dementia care. We are passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need and we have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of our residents. As our volunteer you’ll receive training and on-going support at HammondCare Wahroonga.

When you submit your enquiry, please include details on why you're interested in volunteering. Successful applicants will complete a criminal record check. All HammondCare volunteers must complete mandatory online training, provide evidence of full Covid19 vaccination and meet the annual requirements for influenza vaccination.
