Community Toolbox Canberra is Canberra's first 'library of things'. We have been operating for six months and have a growing and engaged social media following. We seek an experienced social media manager to join our team and take over managing our social media to free up the small Toolbox management team to focus on expanding the Toolbox operations.

The role includes:

  • planning, creating and scheduling posts for Facebook and Instagram
  • creating branded content in line with our brand guidelines
  • creating engaging content with input from the Toolbox management team
  • moderating Facebook and Instagram comments

Skills and experience required include:

  • excellent written and visual communication skills with correct spelling and grammar
  • knowledge of social media strategy and community engagement
  • ability to work independently and remotely, in consultation with the management team
  • experience with the Facebook and Instagram platforms and the Meta Business Suite
  • Ability to use Canva and/or Adobe Illustrator
  • Willingness to work within Microsoft Teams

There is scope for the right applicant to expand this role into managing all our communications and Squarespace website, if desired, in consultation with the Toolbox management team.
