ACT President - Young Professionals Network

The ACT President is responsible for providing overall leadership and direction for their team. They are also responsible for fostering relationships within the UNAA and other arms of the UN, local andFederal Government, and not for profit, community and other interest groups to create and support social change


  • Lead and enhance the impact of the Young Professionals Network within the local community
  • Develop and drive the strategic direction, performance and sustainability of the team
  • Oversee and deliver a scalable, efficient, collaborative and effective operating model
  • Explore opportunities to expand the network in consultation with key stakeholders to maximise the Young Professional Network’s impact
  • Manage budget expenditure, conducting regular reviews and taking corrective actions as required
  • Support the National President and National Vice President in delivering on strategic objectives for the wider Young Professionals Network
  • Collaborate and share knowledge with other teams within the network
  • Attend (or delegate) and contribute to all monthly leadership meetings

Selection Criteria


  • Experience with coaching and developing others
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to deal with conflicting demands, ensuring key priorities and deadlines are met
  • Strong negotiation, influencing and problem-solving skills


  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role, or operating with leadership responsibilities
  • Previous experience with Google Drive and Slack
