Volunteering with HammondCare At Home is one way you can give something back to the aged or frail in our society. Not only does volunteering have an impact on the person you spend time with, but you'll learn a lot and meet new people.

We’re looking for a friendly volunteer who would love to brighten the day of an elderly lady in the Denham Court area. Do you love all things crafty? Share your love with an elderly woman who enjoys needlework, patchworking, knitting and crochet. Practice your craft over a cup of tea at her home together, or get out and enjoy the weather on the sunnier days at the local shops or club.

If you have one hour each week (between Monday to Friday) and you'd like to improve an older person's life by providing companionship, we would love to hear from you. We would be happy to discuss a suitable day and time. You'll receive training, including optional first aid training, as well as the ongoing support from our Volunteer Coordinator.

Successful applicants will need to complete a criminal record check and meet our vaccination requirements for Covid19 and influenza.

When you submit your enquiry, can you please include a statement on why you're interesting in volunteering.
