You will be part of a group of hard working, fun and inclusive team that share one fundamental goal of improving the health and wellbeing of ASCT clients by connecting and engaging them with empathy and compassion.

The Social Support Individual Program (SSI) is Broken into 3 components. A range of Volunteer roles under ASCT Social Support Individual (SSI) Program include:

Wellbeing Phone Calls
Duties:

  • Engage in regular 15-minute phone calls to our clients to check in on their social and Mental wellbeing
  • Updating and managing client spreadsheets to ensure they have been called on their regular day
  • Report any issues, concerns or risks, relating to the ASCT client or service to Access Sydney

Social check in visit
Duties

  • Provide a brief and friendly visit to ASCT clients as rostered to check in on them, have a cuppa and engage in conversation
  • Respond to unanswered visits in accordance with ASCT policies and procedures
  • Keep records of visits made and of unanswered visits to ASCT clients
  • Report any issues or concerns, relating to the ASCT client or service to Access Sydney

Social Engagement on Social Programs include:

Social Bus Outings Duties:

  • Provide one-on-one support to ASCT clients whilst on social bus trips to ensure they are enjoying their day
  • Engage in conversation and assist clients on social bus trips
  • Assist Clients to and from venues
  • Accompany clients on social outings at all times
  • Act on behalf of ASCT client when required
  • Report any issues or concerns, relating to the client or service to Access Sydney

Assisted Group Shopping Program (ASP) Duties:

  • Provide one-on-one support to ASCT clients whilst on shopping trips
  • Engage in conversation with allocated ASCT client whilst on shopping trips to make sure their needs are being met.
  • Assist ASCT client around the shopping centre
  • Assist ASCT client with running errands
  • Act on behalf of ASCT client when required
  • Accompany ASCT client whilst on shopping trips at all times
  • Report any issues or concerns, relating to the client or service to Access Sydney
