MercyCare is seeking compassionate and committed volunteers to provide social and emotional support to our residents at our dementia care specialist aged care centre in Maddington.

The role requires the volunteer to be a good communicator, develop rapport quickly, enjoy conversations and being around older people with dementia. The purpose of the Companion role is to enhance the quality of life for our residents to reduce loneliness and isolation. It is an important role to maintain a residents good mental health to reduce stress and slow cognitive decline.
