The Annerley Junction Fest Organising Committee is seeking a Stallholder Coordinator for this year’s festival. The ideal candidate would live in or have a personal connection with the Annerley area of Brisbane.

Duties include reaching out to past stallholders, discovering new ones, preparing a map of stall locations in the event site, and stallholders are able to set up their stalls easily and smoothly on the day of the event. In this activity, you will be supported by the Volunteer Coordinator.

The coordinator should seek to address the needs of stallholders respectfully and patiently. However there will be times when negotiation skills are required as not everyone’s preferences can be met all the time!

Applicants should have excellent people, phone and computer skills, and be personally well organised, and self-motivated. A familiarity with Google Drive and Gmail would be beneficial.

This year’s Junction Fest will take place on Saturday 8 October, and is a celebration of our diverse and creative community.

Activities include live band performances, travelling entertainers, an art gallery featuring local artists, children’s activities and face painting, bike and scooter riding, storytelling at the library, a jumping castle, Devonshire tea and much more. An important component of the festival is that local businesses and community groups set up stalls to engage with visitors.

As Stallholder Coordinator, your workload will increase as we get closer to the event, perhaps reaching as high as 15 hours per week in the two weeks prior to and including Junction Fest.

You will be part of the Junction Fest Organising Committee – a fun, energetic and supportive group of local residents who are passionate about building their community.
