Assistant Shopper - Campbelltown Home Support Program

Campbelltown City Council

Logo for Campbelltown City Council

Over 1200 older residents in the City of Campbelltown have asked for a small amount of assistance to maintain their homes, community connections and quality of life.

The Campbelltown Home Support Program provides a range of services including assisted shopping. As an Assistant Shopper you will pick up your client from their home at an arranged time, drive them to the shops, help with the shopping (for example lifting and carrying bags, pushing the trolley) and return them home.

In some cases you may shop from a list provided by the client.

Both volunteers and clients tell us they enjoy the regular interaction with each other.

Assistant Shoppers are:

  • Friendly and reliable
  • Can contribute a few hours a fortnight (minimum) on weekdays between 8:45am to 4:45pm
  • Able to use their own car and receive reimbursement for mileage.
