In July each year, the Abbey Museum welcomes thousands of visitors to our Medieval Festival to experience life in the Middle Ages in Europe and the Middle East, from 600 to 1600AD.
The Abbey Medieval Festival would not be what it is today without the generosity of our volunteer community. We require a friendly and enthusiastic assistant to the Coordinator who manages these volunteers.
The Volunteer Coordinator Assistant would be required to liaise with the volunteers who have applied to help at the Festival. Checking online applications and assisting with allocating volunteers to teams. Following up on any applications that require personal contact. Helping with databases, eg for costumes and tshirts.
Excellent communication and organisational skills would be required as well as good administration and computer skills (mainly Word and Excel). Must be able to work well in a team as well as autonomously. Own transport would be required.
