Indigenous Reading Project (IRP) is seeking to recruit several new independent Board members who have demonstrated experience and expertise in:

*Marketing, communications or fund-raising (priority) *School education (Primary and Secondary) (priority) *Governance *Financial management and/or law *Program delivery

In addition, new independent Board members will have:

1. A demonstrated track record in, and understanding of good governance, such as previous Board experience or governance training with AICD
2. A commitment to the purpose and values of IRP
3. A willingness to act as an ambassador for IRP and its work
4. The capacity, experience and expertise to fulfil the duties and standards of conduct required of a board member
5. Sufficient understanding of financial reports and governance to operate effectively as a Director.
