Kitchen/Dining Volunteers

The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of St Mary's House of Welcome (SMHOW).

We are currently looking for kitchen and dining volunteers to help us serve breakfast and lunch to Service Users.

Key responsibilities include:

Assist the Chef and kitchen staff with various tasks as required including washing, peeling, and / or cutting food in preparation for cooking or serving
Follow the direction of the Chef and kitchen staff
Follow the kitchen cleaning procedures
Prepare tables for service users by cleaning, drying, and setting
Follow the Dining Room cleaning procedures
Ensure all dishes are washed and dried before shift completion
Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment and utensils following lunch service
