Remote Indigenous Community Adventure Support
Miriam Rose Foundation
The Miriam Rose Foundation has exciting volunteering opportunities for people who have a skill in activities that young people would like to be involved in. We are looking for like-minded people that are willing work with us delivering activities to local or visiting children. This can be working as part of the team assisting with visiting school camps- helping set up pack down, deliver activities. Or it could be leading and passing on skills in cultural, sporting and general hobby skills. Both opportunity activities could include weaving, painting, animal and plant identification, storytelling, bush tucker knowledge, cooking, music and dancing. Sports such as softball, football, dancing, yoga or hobbies like fishing, dressmaking, cooking and beading.
Working with the Program Manager and assisted by the Youth Workers activities will be planned out and delivered in the community or surrounds. All the materials and anything needed for the activities will be provided. Accommodation is provided and assistance with travel in and out of community can be arranged. Couples and small groups are encouraged to apply.
