Inclusion Melbourne’s Leisure Buddy program matches like-minded people to undertake social activities within our community on a fortnightly basis. We are focused on creating genuine, long term connections between volunteers and our Leisure Buddy participants. Therefore, we require a minimum commitment of 12 months and two to three hours per fortnight.
Lucy is in her late mid-20’s with an intellectual disability who lives in Rockbank. Ideally, she would love someone who enjoys photography and going for walks in the park. Her other interests include fashion, make up, Instagram and socialising. She would love a Leisure Buddy to take her out on fortnightly outings for 2-3 hours ideally on weekends.
No previous experience is required. Competencies include a warm, friendly and patient approach as well as empathy, good communication skills and a great sense of humour.
Your impact: Volunteering is a rewarding activity where you can connect with like-minded people, develop your skills and help to improve the quality of life for all involved. We are committed to ensuring that volunteers across our programs are encouraged, supported, trained and well informed for mutual benefit.
