Make a positive difference to a person with a disability!
Inclusion Melbourne
Inclusion Melbourne’s Leisure Buddy program matches like-minded people to undertake social activities within our community on a fortnightly basis. We are focused on creating genuine, long term connections between volunteers and our Leisure Buddy participants. Therefore, we require a minimum commitment of 12 months and two to three hours per fortnight.
Shane is in his late thirties and describes himself as polite and easy going. His interests include sport (especially tennis), spending time with family and friends, and keeping up to date with current affairs.
Ideally Shane would love to have a friend who is available to go on outings on a fortnightly basis, usually on weekends but this can be flexible.
No previous experience is required. Competencies include a warm, friendly and patient approach as well as empathy, good communication skills and a great sense of humour.
Your impact: Volunteering is a rewarding activity where you can connect with like-minded people, develop your skills and help to improve the quality of life for all involved. We are committed to ensuring that volunteers across our programs are encouraged, supported, trained and well informed for mutual benefit.
