PlantingSeeds Projects is an environmental not-for-profit organisation whose flagship program, the B&B Highway, is making a difference in educating on and regenerating biodiversity. Through implementing B&Bs - Bed and Breakfasts for Birds, Bees and Biodiversity - in the urban and regional environment in schools and corporate areas, regenerative corridors are being formed for threatened pollinators, native plants are being re-introduced and students and adults are being educated and learning important and empowering skills.

The organisation seeks a passionate journalist who cares deeply for biodiversity and the concerning issues around it. The volunteer work would involve one day a week and the individual would receive support from the PlantingSeeds' team who has considerable expertise in media, education and research in biodiversity and environmental issues. The team works from a Sydney city office every Tuesday and it is hoped the individual would be able to attend the Tuesday meetings for dialogue and collaboration.

Specific roles include: Research in biodiversity urban and related environmental issues, writing of articles for the website and for collaborating organisations, assistance with the development of information and educational resources on plants, pollinators, biodiversity, environmental issues and environmental education, and development and writing of social media posts.

The role would support a university student studying in these areas or an individual with a more established background and experience.
