Lifeline Volunteer Crisis Supporter | Armidale NSW

Lifeline New England North West NSW

Lifeline offers a 24/7 Phone Service to the Australian community, and this wouldn't be possible without the genorosity of the people who volunteer as our Crisis Supporters.

As a Crisis Supporter with Lifeline Direct, you will take calls using the CARE framework to provide short-term crisis support to people who are experiencing a crisis. We will train and support you to help others within our community so that no one has to face their darkest moments alone.

We are looking for volunteers who are good listeners, empathetic, compassionate and committed to supporting others.

No prior experience is neccessary to volunteer as Lifeline Direct will provide all the specialised training you will need in the role. Volunteers will need basic computer literacy skills and experience using Zoom/Teams is ideal, but not a requirement.

Join one of our upcoming Crisis Supporter Information Nights (Online), to find out more about becoming a Lifeline Crisis Supporter Volunteer.
