What You’ll Be Doing:
- Support a school student who needs a bit of one-on-one time with a caring adult.
- Enjoy getting to know each other through chats, games and/or fun activities.
- Offer guidance, encouragement and a positive outlook if they are facing challenges.
- Spend one hour a week together at school with the support of staff and EdConnect.

About you:
- You care about children: A genuine desire to support and brighten the days of students. You are approachable, understanding and patient.
- You enjoy connecting: Able to interact warmly with children, school staff, and fellow volunteers. You enjoy connecting with children from diverse backgrounds.
- You are a team player: Ready to collaborate and contribute to a dedicated team.
- You are reliable: Punctual and dependable, ensuring a consistent listening ear for the student.
- You are happy to complete screening and training: We will support you to complete the screening checks and training modules we need to keep students safe.
Requirements:

A belief in young people’s potential and a willingness to share your time and patience.

Consistency and reliability to be there for students when they need it most. But holidays are OK!

No experience required - just enthusiasm, patience, and a genuine desire to help young people thrive.

We will assist you to get a Working with Children Check and Education Police Clearance.
