The program

The Connect Match Support employment pathways program aims to connect people seeking asylum and other temporary visa holders to employment pathways that foster meaningful connection and financial independence, providing job readiness support and connecting with businesses. It works to match clients up with employers based on their skill set & career goals and support job seekers and businesses to maintain suitable and supported employment.

The opportunity

A Connect Match Support Volunteer provides client and administrative support to assist the operation of the Connect Match Support Program in Dandenong and North Melbourne offices, volunteering alongside the caseworker in this program to provide job readiness training and connecting clients with suitable employment pathways.

The impact

As a Connect Match Support volunteer, you'll have a direct impact in the lives of vulnerable migrants as you work alongside them to engage with employment and their wider community. Red Cross will ensure you have training, ongoing support and access to other opportunities within the World’s largest humanitarian network.

Application requirements

For this role you will be required to undertake a National Police Check, organised through RedCross and renewed every 5 years.

To submit this application, you will need to upload a recent copy of your CV and/or provide details for two professional references.

The role will also require you to hold or apply for a Working with Children Check or Working with Vulnerable People Check depending on your State/Territory. Red Cross can assist you to apply for this check.
