CURA Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACVVS) Volunteer - THAI Speaking
Do you have some spare time and would love to visit an older person who is at risk of social isolation and loneliness? Being an ACVVS Volunteer Visitor can make a positive difference to an older person's quality of life, as well as your own.
As a Volunteer Visitor you will visit a recipient once a fortnight for approximately one hour, either in an Aged Care Facility or in their own home your preferred location or suburb, in or around Perth.
* At present we need Thai speaking a volunteer near Bentley.
Your visits will help to keep your recipient socially connected by chatting and sharing memories, learning and engaging in their interests, go for a walk or out for coffee, and enjoy speaking in their first language (where applicable).
As a Cura ACVVS Volunteer you'll feel very rewarded from the experience of providing this service. You will receive a full volunteer induction, ongoing training and support, and the opportunity to connect with our team of volunteers from all walks of life, further enhancing your own social connections.
