Corporate Group Volunteering Opportunity: Bushcare Working Bee - Tempe - #216331
Inner West Council's Urban Ecology Team is ready to host your next volunteering event! With 21 hectares of Natural Areas under its care, these spaces provide vital food and shelter for birds and bats displaced by rural habitat loss and serve as habitats for threatened species.
Volunteering sessions run for 3-4 hours, and no prior experience is required—just bring your passion for nature, a willingness to learn from our dedicated council staff, and a basic level of physical fitness. You'll be involved in:
-
Weed removal and management
-
Planting local native tube stock
-
Watering seedlings
-
Mulching
Bookings are available from March through to October.
Benefits: Corporate Bushcare events offer a unique opportunity for teams to step out of the office and into nature, working together to make a real difference in their local environment. Participants will develop hands-on practical skills while deepening their understanding of conservation and environmental issues. It’s a chance to strengthen workplace connections, build teamwork, and foster a sense of accomplishment—all while enjoying the fresh air and natural surroundings.
Not only will volunteers leave with new skills and insights, but they’ll also experience the satisfaction of contributing to a healthier, more sustainable community. Plus, it’s a lot of fun!
