Dementia Day Centre – Program Assistant

The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of Samarinda.

Do you have strong communication skills, empathy, and a passion for helping others?

We are looking for caring and enthusiastic volunteers to assist with our Dementia-Specific Program at Elsie Salter House. Your support will help create a welcoming and engaging environment for clients living with dementia or memory loss.

Availability: Wednesdays, 10.30am to 2.30pm

Responsibilities:

• Assist staff with daily operations, including setting up and clearing meals and activities.
• Help facilitate engaging activities such as games, puzzles, singing, arts and crafts, and gardening.
• Provide companionship and meaningful conversation to support clients' well-being.
