Our dedicated Lifestyle Team is looking for volunteers to help run a Men's Group designed to engage older male residents, many of whom may feel isolated. This role will provide our male residents with an opportunity to spend quality time with a new friend and enjoy a meaningful day together.

As a Baptcare volunteer, you’ll receive full site induction and support, ensuring you have a rewarding experience.

Activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Engaging in conversations about current events, interests, hobbies, or anything that sparks a connection.
  • Accompanying older males on walks around the gardens.
  • Organising and participating in activities like board games, card games, reading, and woodwork projects.

We tailor your volunteer experience to align with your interests, passions, and hobbies, making sure your motivations are part of the experience.

Your time as a volunteer can provide our residents with a more engaging, fulfilling experience. Many of them have little or no family, and your friendship and support can make a world of difference. It’s an opportunity to brighten someone’s day and build meaningful connections.

Is This You?

We welcome volunteers from all walks of life, students, retirees, part-time workers, stay-at-home parents, and professionals. To be considered for this role, you’ll need to meet the following criteria:

  • You don’t need special skills, just a warm heart and the desire to make a difference
  • Willingness to undergo or provide a National Criminal History Check
  • Provide two referees (non-family) who can speak to your character
  • Be reliable, compassionate, and enjoy spending time with elderly people
  • Commitment to regular volunteering

What We Offer

  • A welcoming and inclusive community where you are truly valued
  • Invitations to volunteer events, wellness and cultural days, and social gatherings
  • Ongoing education and development opportunities
  • Eligibility for our Volunteer Reward & Recognition Program, including service awards and gift vouchers
