Walking Tour Guide - Tonsley Innovation District
We are looking for volunteers who can lead walking tours that engage & inform the public about the Tonsley Innovation District.
Volunteers can help by:
- Meeting tour participants at agreed time & location.
- Check participants against registration list.
- Check if any participants need additional assistance – for example unable to use stairs, can’t walk fast.
- Guide participants through the District, inline with the Tour Guide Script.
- Actively seek out evolving information about Tonsley and incorporate into the tours.
- Foster relationships with businesses and groups onsite to ensure good working relationships between City of Marion, Tonsley Innovation District and the volunteer tour guides.
- Be punctual and inform your staff contact if you cannot attend or will be late.
- Work cooperatively with staff and other volunteers.
- Understand and follow City of Marion Work Health & Safety requirements.
- Comply with existing WH&S legislation & regulation obligations and apply ‘Think Safe and Live Well Philosophy’.
- Be aware of any risks and the control measures in place for the role.
- Report any accidents or near misses to your supervisor as soon as possible.
- Always maintain client confidentiality.
- Promote a positive image of Council in all dealings with members of the public.
