Bar Person – (Volunteer) up to 30 hrs per fortnight About us: Located in New Town, The Buckingham Bowls Club is a friendly and popular bowls club that provides a unique facility for members and guests. We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic bar person to work as a volunteer in our bar area. To be successful you must be willing to work weekdays, evenings, and Saturdays, and have a "can do attitude". Applicants who are eligible for the Centrelink Volunteers Program are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver prompt, friendly, and polite service and assistance to customers. • Maintain accuracy in all cash handling procedures. • Ensure the environment is clean and welcoming for members and their guests. • Ensure all RSA legislative requirements are enforced. • Prepare drinks for members and their guests. The ideal candidate will have: • Ability to work a variety of shifts- day, nights, and early evening. • Ability to work weekdays and Saturdays. • An outgoing and enthusiastic personality. • Great customer service skills. • Cash handling & POS skills. • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. • Experience in a similar hospitality role (not essential training will be provided to the right candidate). • Impeccable personal presentation. • RSA certificates of attainment or willingness to obtain.

You must have Australian working rights and if relevant eligible to participate in the Centrelink Volunteers’ Program. Employer questions Your application will include the following questions: • Have you had previous experience as a Bar person or similar work experience? • Do you hold a current Responsible Serving of Alcohol certificate? • Are you eligible to participate in the Centrelink Volunteering Program for 55 to 67 year olds.
