We are seeking a volunteer with a passion to give back in their community of South West Sydney by visiting an elderly lady living in residential care. Our client loves to reminisce about past career as a seamstress, still puts her hair in rollers daily and enjoys a short walk around the care home. She speaks both English and Spanish, loves cats and dogs, card games, shopping and would enjoy meeting someone to chat with over a cuppa of an afternoon.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of elderly people.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
