EVENT COORDINATOR / ASSISTANT

What does the role involve?
- Assist in welcoming and ushering individual volunteers and corporate group attendees around the kitchen
- Extend help in setting up the tables and chairs and other paraphernalia and tools
- Help volunteers and attendees sign up upon arrival and giving out name tags
- Assist volunteering corporate group attendees in the next steps of their activity
- Help individual volunteers identifying their next task
- Support the operations manager and other employees during the events with small tasks

What skills or experience do I need?
- Currently pursuing a degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Administration or any related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace.
- Good Communication Skills: The ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups of people and provide guidance and assistance as needed.
- Organization: Keen eye on people and to their possible need
- Critical Thinking: Analyse situations and strategically approach each
- Adaptability and Willingness to learn: Openness to accept constructive feedback and adjust accordingly
- Time Management: Use time effectively, maximizing it to complete the tasks at hand

Dress Code:
Attire: Closed shoes are required for all personnel. For safety reasons, we recommend long pants and a top with covered shoulders. On warmer days, shorts and sleeveless attire are acceptable, as long as they are not overly revealing.
Headgear: If you are entering the kitchen, a cap must be worn for food safety compliance. Hairnets are provided by George, or you can bring your own cap.
Jewelry: Avoid wearing loose jewelry when going into the kitchen.
