What does the role involve?

  1. Assist in welcoming and ushering individual volunteers and corporate group attendees around the kitchen
  2. Extend help in setting up the tables and chairs and other paraphernalia and tools
  3. Help volunteers and attendees sign up upon arrival and giving out name tags
  4. Assist volunteering corporate group attendees in the next steps of their activity
  5. Help individual volunteers identifying their next task
  6. Support the operations manager and other employees during the events with small tasks

What skills or experience do I need?

  1. Currently pursuing a degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Administration or any related field
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace.
  3. Good Communication Skills: The ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups of people and provide guidance and assistance as needed.
  4. Organization: Keen eye on people and to their possible need
  5. Critical Thinking: Analyse situations and strategically approach each
  6. Adaptability and Willingness to learn: Openness to accept constructive feedback and adjust accordingly
  7. Time Management: Use time effectively, maximizing it to complete the tasks at hand

Dress Code:

Attire: Closed shoes are required for all personnel. For safety reasons, we recommend long pants and a top with covered shoulders. On warmer days, shorts and sleeveless attire are acceptable, as long as they are not overly revealing.

Headgear: If you are entering the kitchen, a cap must be worn for food safety compliance. Hairnets are provided by George, or you can bring your own cap.

Jewelry: Avoid wearing loose jewelry when going into the kitchen.
