Graphic Design Support

GLOBE Victoria is seeking a Graphic Design Support volunteer to help strengthen our visual identity and communicate our impact. Your work will support GLOBE’s mission to create safe, inclusive, and engaging spaces for LGBTQIA+ professionals and communities across Victoria.

Key Duties:

Collaborate with the team to refresh and establish brand guidelines that reflect our core values.
Design social media tiles, banners, and event graphics that resonate with our audience.
Develop templates for our key business documents, ensuring consistency across our communications.
Assist in creating visual assets for email campaigns, website graphics, and other digital communications.

Skills and Experience:

Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or Canva.
Experience creating branded content for social media, EDMs, or print.
A collaborative spirit with a strong sense of brand alignment and an understanding of GLOBE’s mission and audience.

Time required

The role requires an initial commitment of around 4 hours per week for the first month to establish our core brand assets, templates, and guidelines. After this initial phase, ongoing support will be approximately 2–4 hours per month, as needed, to create event graphics, social media assets, and other periodic updates.

Requirements

Experience in Graphic Design: Either through formal education (e.g., a degree, diploma, or certificate in Graphic Design) or equivalent practical experience. Proficiency in Design Software: Expertise with design software, preferably Adobe Creative Suite, or Canva or similar platforms. Portfolio Submission: Ability to provide a sample of previous design work. Availability: Willingness/capacity to dedicate 4 hours per week to the role. This will very likely reduce, but initial requirement includes developing a suite of marketing assets Collaboration Skills: Comfortable working with a team and responding to feedback constructively. Interest in GLOBE Victoria's goals: A passion for supporting GLOBE Victoria’s vision is key. GLOBE Victoria is for are LGBTIQA+ communities, small businesses and professionals who want to be seen, connected and nurtured. We work towards uniting Victorian and Australian LGBTIQA+ groups and their supporters through social, professional and community events and to create opportunities for participants to build professional, inclusive and supportive environments that encourage and advocate growth. Other Requirements: Strong attention to detail and creativity. Familiarity with social media content design or marketing materials.
