**Join the Wellways Mental Health & Wellbeing Connect Volunteer Team! **
What is Mental Health and Wellbeing Connect?
We provide free information, lived experience peer support, advocacy and assistance to the families, carers and supporters of people who are neurodiverse, living with mental health or substance use challenges. You will be working from our Connect Centres to provide a warm welcoming space; we would love to have some dedicated volunteers join us!
What Does Volunteering for MHWC Look Like?
We have Lived Experience Carer Support Volunteer opportunities available in Traralgon and Bairnsdale!
Duties include:
- Introduce and greet our carers entering our Centres
- Work 1:1 or in a group setting with carers engaged in our program
- Identify when to advocate and promote our carers
- Administration duties such as filing case notes appropriately and in a timely manner
- Community engagement

Opportunities are available over a variety of days and times in Traralgon and Bairnsdale.
What’s Required?
Wellways will assist you with obtaining everything necessary and will pay for any checks required.
We will require the following:
- Working with Children’s check.
- Police Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- 100 points of ID
