Overview
This role is designed to manage and optimise Out For Australia’s website, ensuring it serves as an engaging, informative, and accessible platform that reflects our mission and values. The Digital Content Manager - Website will create and update website content, monitor performance through analytics, and ensure the site meets the needs of our diverse community. By showcasing impactful stories, programs, and events, this role will enhance OFA’s digital presence, foster a sense of inclusion, and support the organisation’s goal of empowering LGBTQIA+ individuals to thrive in their careers.
Responsibilities:
Website Management & Content Creation (40%)
- Maintain and update OFA’s website, ensuring content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with organisational goals.
- Create and publish compelling website content, including event pages, blogs, program information, and impact stories.
- Optimise website content for accessibility, SEO, and user engagement.
- Collaborate with OFA teams to gather stories, news, and updates to feature on the website.
- Work closely with design and marketing teams to ensure the website reflects OFA’s brand voice and values, promoting inclusivity, diversity, and empowerment.
Content Updates & Maintenance (30%)
- Regularly audit website pages to ensure accuracy and relevance of content.
- Update banners, news items, and event details as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any website performance or functionality issues, liaising with technical support when necessary.
- Ensure website navigation is intuitive, user-friendly, and reflective of OFA’s evolving programs and initiatives.
Tracking & Analytics (20%)
- Use tools like Google Analytics or similar platforms to track website performance, including traffic, engagement, and conversion metrics.
- Provide regular reports on website performance, highlighting trends, successes, and opportunities for improvement.
- Adjust website strategies based on analytics to improve user experience and achieve organisational goals.
General volunteer expectations (10%)
- Undertake an OFA volunteer induction and role onboarding.
- Understand and implement OFA’s strategy, vision and mission.
- Uphold our volunteer code of conduct.
- Assist with initiatives as required.
