Bocce Coach- Special Olympics Australia (Melbourne Eastern Ranges)
Who are we? Melbourne Eastern Ranges (MER) is a regional club of Special Olympics Australia, (SOA). Special Olympics Australia is part of a global sporting community for people with an intellectual disability and autism. Our year-round multi-sport program supports athletes with a range of capabilities. We provide an inclusive and supportive environment that supports athlete skill development, confidence and physical fitness.
General Responsibilities:
Attend training each fortnight. Assist with the planning and supervision of Bocce training sessions for various age groups and skill levels. Work with the Bocce coaching team, to develop individualized training programs to meet the Bocce athletes needs and goals. Provide feedback and guidance to improve the Bocce players' techniques and performance. Ensure the safety of all participants during training sessions. Motivate and inspire Bocce players to achieve their best. Assist in organizing and overseeing Interclub Tournaments and State Games
Requirements:
Experience in coaching bocce or a related sport. Strong knowledge of bocce techniques and strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with players of all ages and abilities. Commitment to the mission and values of Special Olympics Australia.

**Previous experience with intellectual disability and autism is not essential. Those are desirable skills. Experience working in a non-profit organisation is also a desirable skill.
