As a volunteer Coordinator Support for CARAD's Opening Doors Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient functioning of our organisations administrative and engagement operations.

Activities will include: ·         Provide administrative support to the Opening Doors Coordinator, including but not limited to managing emails, scheduling appointments, and handling phone calls. ·         Liaise with volunteers and clients as required. ·         Evaluate, review and monitor volunteer/client interaction. ·         Help prepare and distribute communications, such as emails, newsletters, social media posts and reports. ·         Coordinate meetings and events. ·         Conduct research and gather information as needed to support organisational projects and initiatives. ·         Collaborate with other team members to support the overall functioning of the organisation.

Requirements to do the role are: ·         Empathy and cultural sensitivity towards the unique experiences of asylum seekers and refugees.  ·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills.  ·         Understanding of mental health concepts and a non-judgmental approach.  ·         Ability to work collaboratively with diverse individuals and communities.  ·         Strong written and verbal communication skills. ·         Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). ·         Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. ·         Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks. ·         Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. ·         Passion for supporting asylum seekers, refugees, and detainees and a commitment to CARAD's mission and values.
