The Purpose of Visitor Services Guides is to Connect Visitors to nature and be friendly welcoming ambassadors of Zoos SA and our values. Provide accurate, positive, and engaging information to Visitors about Zoos SA and its animals, conservation programs, campaigns and activities. Assist Visitors navigate around the Zoo, to make the most of their experiences and have a good time. Support Operational Staff to manage Visitors movements around the Zoo. Assist staff in an emergency, to help ensure the safety of our visitors, volunteers, staff, and animals.

Requirements

National Police Certificate

* Minimum 18 years of age * Financial member of Zoos SA. * Valid National Police Check * Basic computer and email skills * Complete relevant training * Commit to being a positive ambassador of the Zoos SA purpose, goals, and values and adhere to all Zoos SA policies and procedures. * Ability to volunteer at least once per fortnight Please note: * As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the type of insurance provided for volunteers (e.g. Voluntary Workers Personal Accident Insurance). * Best practice volunteer involvement recommends that a volunteer role should not be more than 15-16 hours per week.
