Information Manager
As a WheelEasy volunteer/intern, you will actively contribute to a project aimed at assessing and enhancing the accessibility in specific locations all over Australia.
The internship program allows volunteers/interns to gain insights into the operational structures of NGOs and nonprofits, and develop professional skills in research, policy advocacy, and project management.
Students can tailor their internship by selecting specific fields aligned with their degree, including:
- Conducting research on accessibility-related topics.
- Collecting data on the accessibility of public and private spaces.
- Developing policy briefs to address critical social issues.
- Assisting with database management and data analysis.
- Participating in fundraising initiatives and project execution.
- Supporting community outreach efforts.
The key responsibilities and features of this role involve but are not limited to:
- Updating and maintaining accurate information for various leisure destinations, including restaurants, parks, cultural sites, and entertainment venues.
- Engaging with private and public figures to encourage the use of best practise.
- Promoting inclusion generally, both physical and attitudinal, across Society.
