BNUSC is one of the largest soccer clubs in Ballarat, and we are looking to expand our Canteen reach! We are looking for a keen go-getter to manage our Canteen Operations, to plan menus, purchase supplies and oversee the management of the canteen facility.

We open the canteen every Sunday from 9am to 5pm (with setup / packup before and after). And open some training days (Thursdays) for dinner after training and during some social events. We don't expect the Canteen Manager to be present for ALL of that though! We have plenty of volunteers to serve and cook, but this role will oversee the procedures, ensure people follow the processes and provide direction on what needs to be done and when.

We estimate this role may take up to 4-5 hours per week, with planning, purchasing and helping with open / close on Sundays.

**Responsibilities **

  • Plan menus for canteen each week
  • Order required stock for canteen / bar
  • Store and maintain non-perishable / refrigerated / frozen stock
  • Display the Club Liquor License during service period
  • Maintain a weekly record of expenses & sales
  • Oversee opening and closing canteen on service days
  • Induct new volunteers on arrival for shift
  • Ensure all canteen / bar volunteers have relevant certificates, maintain copies
  • Work with Committee to ensure canteen / bar operations have sufficient volunteers

This is a volunteer position but we are open to the possibility of having a Centrelink recipient take on this role for job seeker, disability or senior pension hour requirements.
