Who are we? Melbourne Eastern Ranges (MER) is a regional club of Special Olympics Australia, (SOA). Special Olympics Australia is part of a global sporting community for people with an intellectual disability and autism. Our year-round multi-sport program supports athletes with a range of capabilities. We provide an inclusive and supportive environment that supports athlete skill development, confidence and physical fitness.

General Responsibilities:

  • Organise and coordinate club meetings
  • Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and minutes.
  • Handle club correspondence and communication.
  • Maintain accurate records of club membership and contact details.
  • Assist with club registration, insurance, and documentation.
  • Help the Club Leadership Team with strategic planning and club development

Requirements:

Organizational Guru: Strong organizational and time-management skills. Communication Pro: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office). Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with a team. Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not required.

**Previous experience with intellectual disability and autism is not essential. Those are desirable skills. Experience working in a non-profit organisation is also a desirable skill.
