Head of Recruitment

About ITE:
At ITE, we believe in the transformative power of education. Since our inception, we’ve connected students from diverse backgrounds—many from rural, low-socioeconomic, or refugee communities—with free, high-quality tutoring, free educational resources and 1:1 mentorship. Our mission is to empower the next generation of change-makers to access University education through cost-free support.
About the Role:
As the Head of Recruitment, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping ITE’s workforce by identifying, attracting, and onboarding talented and passionate volunteers who align with our mission. Reporting to the CEO, you’ll collaborate with the leadership team to meet the organisation’s staffing needs and build a vibrant, mission-driven community.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including advertising roles, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and onboarding.
-
Build and maintain strong relationships with educational institutions, community organisations, and professional networks to expand ITE’s volunteer base.
-
Collaborate with team leads to understand their staffing needs and provide tailored recruitment solutions.
-
Ensure recruitment practices are inclusive and prioritise diversity, equity, and inclusion.
About You:
We’re looking for someone with:
- Experience in recruitment, management or HR: Ideally, you have experience recruiting for nonprofits, educational organisations, or youth-led initiatives (preferred)
-
A passion for educational equity: care deeply about creating opportunities for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
-
Organisational and leadership skills: You’re comfortable managing multiple tasks and being self-directed.
-
Proactivity and creativity: You’re excited to bring new ideas and strategies to the table.
What We Offer:
-
A chance to be part of a dynamic, mission-driven organisation making real change.
-
Flexible working arrangements (work remotely, at times that suit you).
-
Leadership opportunities and a chance to develop skills in talent acquisition, nonprofit management, and team building.
