RHP - Escort Volunteer
Royal Adelaide Hospital, Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre and Repat Health Precinct Volunteers
- Support patients in attending appointments by applicable travel options (taxi) and escorting the patient to the destination.
- Support patients in attending appointments or outings for personal reasons via government owned vehicles following a successful driving application.
- Assist the patient with checking in for their appointment and other information.
- Working cooperatively with hospital and Allied Health staff to ensure the non-clinical and support needs of patients are met.
- Assist the patient with wheelchair escorts.
- Liaise with hospital staff to ensure the patient welfare is priority (providing drinks of water etc).
Special requirements:
- Have the physical ability to undertake the duties in a safe manner.
- Complete a clear and current NPC screening check.
- Comply with Work Health & Safety and Infection Control requirements.
- Comply with SA Health Immunisation guidelines including annual flu vaccination and mandatory COVID vaccinations.
- Complete all annual mandatory training requirements.
