As a Hub Homemaker Volunteer, you’ll be the friendly face of the Hub, helping to create a welcoming, inviting and functional space for all. Your contributions will support various activities, foster community connections, and ensure the Hub remains a vibrant and inclusive environment for everyone.

Join us as our Homemaker Volunteer and play a vital role in our vibrant community. In this role, you’ll help create a warm and inclusive atmosphere at the Hub by greeting visitors, assisting with activity setups, and ensuring the space is tidy and functional. Your efforts will directly contribute to making the Hub a welcoming and enjoyable place for all.

Skills and Qualities • Friendly and approachable nature and enthusiasm for community engagement. • Willingness to adapt, take initiative and provide support wherever needed. • Passion for creating safe and welcoming spaces. • Physical capability to assist with tasks such as lifting trestle tables and stacking chairs.

Key Tasks

  • Welcome participants warmly as they arrive at the Hub.
  • Open and close the Hub on Fridays.
  • Assist with activity set-up and pack-down alongside other volunteers
  • Maintain the kitchen by replenishing supplies and keeping it tidy
  • Keep the foyer neat, organised and inviting.
  • Collaborate with the Admin Officer to update the notice board
  • Report any health and safety concerns promptly to ensure a safe environment.
  • Conduct Hub inductions and tours for new participants.
  • Optionally, assist with the Hub’s events, including the Repair Hub.
