Can you play guitar?

We are looking for an experienced volunteer to visit a socially isolated male resident who lives in aged care in Mt Gravatt. Our resident would love someone to come visit him for regular chats and friendship. He would also enjoy listening to some guitar playing and would love to learn how to play guitar too!

Fortnightly visits may include:

• Playing guitar for him and teaching him a few easy chords,
• Listening to music together,
• Having a yarn about life and sharing stories.

Volunteering as a Volunteer Visitor can be a very rewarding experience. By becoming a friend to an older person, you can make a positive difference to their lives as well as your own.
