Youth Landcare Days for Black Cockatoos
These events are inclusive and low barrier to entry and the perfect way to learn about conservation and landcare.
Attendees will work together to weed the Cockatoo Habitat Restoration Site at Piney Lakes Reserve, an important habitat for threatened Ngoolarks (Carnaby’s Black Cockatoos). All experience levels are welcome as a facilitator from SERCUL will share knowledge with the group and guide the event. By protecting this vital food source for our native animals, we can protect the environment for generations to come.
These events are suitable for school community service hours. We will also provide snacks for a light picnic following each session.
Dates: Sundays 27 April, 25 May, and 29 June
Time: 10.00am to 12 noon (followed by picnic)
