Meal Delivery Driver & Client Care - Aspley and surrounds
Advertised by Volunteering Queensland
Caring Cuisine plays a vital role enabling older Australians to enjoy living independently in the familiar surroundings and comfort of their own home.
As a not-for-profit charity, in order to support our clients, we rely on a large team of volunteers to deliver meals and conduct welfare checks. Chatting for a few minutes whilst delivering healthy fresh food helps cut through social isolation and provides peace of minds to clients and their loved ones.
As a Volunteer Driver you will attend our Aspley Cafe Hub partner - The Crepe Cafe - at 10.30am, enjoy a coffee on us, then use your own vehicle to deliver out packed meals to our clients’ homes, before returning empty bags to our hub. Each shift typically take 1.5 – 2 hours in total. We take meals to our clients every weekday, Monday-Friday.
While most volunteers choose to be scheduled for 1 set day each week, you can volunteer for one or more particular day/s each week, month or fortnight, or on an ad-hoc basis – we are very flexible depending on your availability! On-the shift training is provided by our Volunteer Coordinator.
To succeed in this rewarding role all you need is a current driver's licence, own vehicle and a friendly disposition to meet and greet fellow local community members!
We look forward to meeting you!
