Get ready for a fun and rewarding day! Join us as a volunteer for the Starlight Children's Foundation Five Chefs Dinner Day Shift and help set the stage for an unforgettable evening!
We are celebrating 30 years of Starlight Five Chefs Dinners. This is the culinary event of the year, and we need enthusiastic volunteers like YOU to help make it extra special. Our Day Shift Volunteers help with all of the bump in and preparation for this amazing gala dinner.
You’ll be part of an amazing team, working together to set up this exciting event, all while knowing you're making a real difference.
By volunteering, you'll be playing a crucial part in supporting the incredible work of Starlight Children’s Foundation and helping to bring happiness to seriously ill children and their families. This is your chance to help spread happiness while helping to set up for an incredible event.

Dress: All black clothing, closed toe comfortable shoes

Volunteer Tasks
Get ready to be part of the magic of being a Starlight volunteer! Here’s how you’ll help spread joy:
- Event bump in - assist with placing programs and other Starlight material on guest tables
- Wish balloons - help fill and set up our amazing helium filled wish balloons
- Other set up tasks - you'll be working closely with our Starlight Events Team and Star Ball Committee to bring this event to life!
Requirements to volunteer at this event:
- All volunteers must be 18+ years of age
- Great communication skills
- We ask that all volunteers download the 'Shout Terminal' app and attend the event with a fully charged mobile phone which will be used to take payments for fundraising activities
- Be able to be on your feet for the duration of your shift (breaks provided)
- A positive attitude and to embrace the Starlight SHINE values
