Vinnies Van Services Volunteer - Lismore and Far North Coast

Our Vinnies Van Service is new to the region, and by joining now and contributing, you can be an integral part of creating a lasting impact for the people of the Northern Rivers.
Join a team of enthusiastic people who look forward to chatting and sharing with people in the Lismore and Ballina areas. We are opening our arms to both service volunteers and drivers. Service volunteers will support the driver with the van operations including packing/unpacking the van, setting up the service, friendly conversation, serving food and drinks, tidying up when it’s over. The drivers will perform the same duties as well as supervising the operations, driving and ensuring the safe use of the van and reporting to the Van Coordinator.
The St Vincent de Paul Society assists people experiencing poverty and inequality and works to shape a more just and compassionate society. We assist in offering “a hand up” to people in need. We do this by respecting their dignity, sharing our hope, and encouraging them to take control of their own destiny.
St Vincent de Paul Society is an Equal Opportunity host and is committed to engaging a diverse workforce. The Society strongly encourages applications from people from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds, people with a disability, people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds and mature aged applicants.
The St Vincent de Paul Society is committed to being a Child Safe Organisation. The Society has developed a clear, accountable and transparent Policy and Procedures to ensure that it complies with relevant legislation and that all children and young people who come into contact with the Society are kept safe and are supported to the best of our capacity.
**We are looking forward to meeting you. Let’s make a difference together! **
