About the Role

As a Volunteer for the Assisted Shopping Support, you will:

• Use your own vehicle to transport clients to and from supermarkets and shopping centres.
• Assist with carrying shopping bags (if required).
• Provide friendly conversation and companionship along the way.
• Help clients maintain their choice and independence while staying engaged in the community.

What We’re Looking For

• A friendly, reliable, and patient individual with good communication skills.
• A current and valid driver's license.
• A registered, roadworthy, and well-maintained vehicle.
• A passion for helping others and a desire make a meaningful difference to your local community.
• Willingness to complete safety and registration checks.

Vehicle Requirements

To ensure safety and comfort for our clients, your vehicle must meet basic requirements, including:

• Up-to-date registration and vehicle insurance.
• Transport vehicle to be a suitable height for people with mobility needs.
• Regular servicing and maintenance.
• Clean and well-kept condition.
• Successfully meet the requirements of our vehicle safety assessment form.
