Key tasks/Activities of the Role & Expected Outcomes

Pre service preparation

Prepare and manage the expresso machine and ensure it is clean and ready for service.

Set up all the hot drink condiments including cups, utensils, milk and related materials.

Ensure expresso machine is prepared prior to beginning of service.

Ensure the working area is clean and hygienic and surroundings as per health regulations.

Provide quality customer service

Assist with taking coffee/tea orders.

Operate the cash register and Eftpos machines.

Assist in creating a welcoming, friendly and caring environment.

Refer people to appropriate Salvation Army services.

Customers/clients are served in a courteous and timely manner.

Customer/client complaints are responded to in an appropriate and timely manner.

Accurate information provided to customers.

**Maintain a safe and healthy environment **

All volunteers are to be mindful of their own health and to take care of the health and safety of others.

Volunteers are required to comply with all TSA work, health and safety policies and procedures as applicable to their workplace.

Immediately report any health and safety concerns, notifiable incidents and near misses, to Senior Team Leader and ensure any hazards are controlled until rectified.

Complete hazard/ incident and accident form in a timely way.

Qualifications and experience requirements for the Role

·Barista experience and customer service skills preferred but not essential

**Mandatory Requirements of the Position **

Complete The Salvation Army (TSA) Mission Volunteer registration, induction and training - TSA is a ChildSafe workplace. Integrity checks as required for the role.
