Secretary to committee

The duties of the Secretary include : keeping of minutes of all meetings, attending to constitutional and legislative compliance requirements, maintaining member records, etc.

The time commitment will include attending monthly meetings, recording minutes and attendance to compliance requirements which - normal monthly 3 hours per month, with additional 3 hours for compliance at end of fiscal year.

QWA promotes, across Queensland, the celebration of wattle when wattles are blooming in Queensland.  We also promote the celebration of Australia’s National Floral Emblem, the Golden Wattle (Acacia pycnantha), and National Wattle Day on 1 September each year. 

Our activities include: walks, talks, infrastructure light ups, tree plantings and much more.

The QWA is still in set up phase with a website, social media, etc. still under construction.
