Who We Are  Hero Hunter Foundation (HHF) provides practical support to families fighting childhood cancer and certain blood disorders in Western Australia, ensuring they can focus on what matters most: their child's health and wellbeing.

The Position Volunteers are the lifeblood of Hero Hunter Foundation (HHF), and as our Volunteer Manager, you play a vital role in keeping that heart beating strong. This role is all about connection; recruiting, coordinating and engaging our community of volunteers. You’ll ensure they feel informed, appreciated, and inspired to keep making a difference across all our services and events.

Key Responsibilities  Volunteer Engagement

  • Be the main point of contact for all current, former, and prospective volunteers.
  • Foster engagement through HHF’s social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  • Develop and send out monthly volunteer updates with news, opportunities, and events.

Volunteer Recruitment

  • Promote volunteer opportunities using digital channels and community networks.
  • Work with the Director of Operations and service leads to identify volunteer needs for campaigns, services, and events.
  • Maintain an up to date a volunteer database to track interests, participation and availability.

Communication & Coordination

  • Keep volunteers in the loop on HHF’s programs, campaigns and events.
  • Organise training, onboarding, and check-ins for new and returning volunteers.
  • Respond to enquiries in a timely, helpful way.
  • Gather and share volunteer feedback to help improve our services.

Event Support

  • Assist in the coordination of volunteers for fundraising, awareness, and outreach events.
  • Support volunteers before and during events, making sure they feel confident and connected. day.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong people skills: approachable, clear communicator and great listener.
  • Reliable, organised, and comfortable working independently.
  • Confident using social media,salesforce and email tools.
  • Experience in volunteer coordination is an advantage, but not essential.
  • Above all, a genuine passion for community, connection and the HHF mission.
